Fluttering into our Social Butterfly Era 🦋

Spring got us out of our basement cocoon where the grass is artificial, the concrete keeps us secure, and it's always just a little too loud and overstimulating (but we like it like that ;)) and into our social butterfly era fluttering between Minneapolis and Saint Paul with our mobile mini golf and pop-up bar!

At the end of April, we set up our mobile mini golf at the University of Minnesota's Spring Jam. We brought four of the nine mobile mini golf holes and graced the Coffman Union lawn with their uniqueness and whimsy. The sun tried its best to peek out from the gloomy spring day, but we make our own sunshine wherever we go! We yapped with lots of college students about Can Can Wonderland, handed out admission passes for hole in ones, and congratulated them all on another year in the books and to their future endeavors! 

April showers gave way to May flowers with a NEW mobile mini golf hole inspired by one of Can Can Wonderland's sister store fronts, Martha's Gardens. We brought the Martha's Sunflowers hole to the Selby West Spring Fling in Saint Paul. It was a gorgeous day outside and folks in the neighborhood seemed ready to shed their icy winter coats for cautious hopefulness that spring will be a much better and friendlier season. This event was family friendly and folks were excited to receive discounted admission passes for Can Can Wonderland. We talked about our summer entertainment lineup and all the other fun and exciting things happening that spring brings!

Our next event took us south to the West 7th neighborhood with no mini golf in tow but a few kegs and coolers! We made new friends at Tease Salon where they hosted their fourth annual TEASE-A-PALOOZA. The folks at Tease Salon organized an amazing event hosting local artists and makers, a killer punk band, a food truck, and us! Can Can Wonderland served canned beverages and poured local Bad Weather Brewing beers. It always warms our hearts to see neighbors showing up for neighbors and celebrating their neighborhood! We are excited for next year's TEASE-A-PALOOZA and know to bring more Bad Weather beer!

Spring quickly turned into summer when we were asked to be a part of Minnesota Monthly's Grill Fest! We brought three of our favorite mobile mini golf holes that completed the Philips Prairie Organic Game Zone! We collaborated with Prairie Organic and they crafted a cocktail with their cucumber vodka and called it the Can Can CucumberLand. We might have to rebrand from loud and overstimulating to cool and refreshing after sipping on it during the balmy and sunshine filled 80 degree day that kicked off summer and Grill Fest. It was so much fun watching people enjoy the mobile mini golf, chatting with them about all our shenanigans and blasting AC down in the basement, and, of course, handing out Can Can Wonderland admission passes to hole in one winners!

We are excited to see where our social butterfly era takes us, but for now we are all too excited and stoked that it is PRIDE!
